Featuring tales from 40 years of broadcasting from the offshore Pirate stations to the present day. Hear recordings and look at unique films and pictures from a golden era of radio. Some of the subjects covered will be: -

• The Story of Radio Swinging Radio England
• On Tour With The Small Faces
• Introducing Jimi Hendrix on stage and many others
• Broadcasting on Radio Caroline before and after the Marine Offences Act of 1967.
• Living In Exile in Holland
• The Closedown of Caroline in March 1968
• Radio Luxembourg
• On Tour With The Beach Boys
• Radio North Sea International. The Government jamming, pursued by Scotland Yard, the election campaign of 1970.
• Thirty years of legal commercial radio including the beginning of Piccadilly Radio, Manchester.
• The Pirate Reunions of recent years as well as the tribute stations

There will also be opportunities for questions.

Photos

There were taken from the front row using the camera in my mobile phone. This is rather poor quality unfortunately, so hopefully someone else will publish some better photos somewhere.

The photos, videos and sounds were played from Roger's laptop via the theatre screen and sound system. Apart from PowerPoint having a mind of its own and jumping forward when it wasn't supposed to, it worked very well.

It ws an excellent evening and well worth attending. Most of these photos were taken during the two question and answer sessions.
